Fantom Cinema was an art project by Marc Baines, Rob Churm, and Hour Projects (Kristina Bengstsson and Kevin Malcolm) during Glasgow Internationl 2016. They transformed the upstairs venue space at the Old Hairdresser’s pub into a makeshift cinema, by building tiered seating and screen. For three weeks the curators programmed afternoon and evening events including film screenings, live music, installations and performances by various artists and groups, with a loose theme of ‘hauntology’. Supported by Glasgow International, the Danish Arts Council and the Alliance Française.
